My Value:
Fresh Perspective
Why is your value important to you?:

Offering a fresh perspective to our current political climate provides: a third way option - different solutions then are currently being provided. As an independent I am able to consider information from experts and points of view from both sides and suggest solutions that move us forward. This is not a compromise of information instead it is a road to solutions. Partisan politics has created a situation of right vs. left, of ideology vs. information. Offering a fresh perspective that is the result of bringing the best solutions from both sides forward is a concept that its time has come.

How is your value faring in the world?:

Favorite quotes, sayings, adages or wise words:

It is easy enough to vote right and be consistently with the majority . . . but it is more often more important to be ahead of the majority and this means being willing to cut the first furrow in the ground and stand alone for a while if necessary. U.S. Congresswoman Patsy Mink

Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. Lincoln's First Annual Message to Congress, December 3, 1861.

How far you can go without destroying from within what you are trying to defend from without? Dwight D. Eisenhower

I can not believe that war is the best solution. No one won the last war, and no one will win the next war. Eleanor Roosevelt

The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind. Lee Iacocca

You do not lead by hitting people over the head - that's assault, not leadership. Dwight D. Eisenhower

If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the shoulder of giants. Isaac Newton

Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of creative alternatives for responding to conflict -- alternatives to passive or aggressive responses, alternatives to violence. Dorothy Thompson

We seek peace, knowing that peace is the climate of freedom. Dwight D. Eisenhower

Good management is the art of making problems so interesting and their solutions so constructive that everyone wants to get to work and deal with them. Paul Hawken

Together We can see what none of us can see alone. We can do what none of us can do alone. We can celebrate what none of us can celebrate alone. Barbara Marx Hubbard

It's about connecting not convincing.
